In addition:

As a practitioner of Breathwork and Yoga for 10 years, If you wish, there is an option to introduce these additional support services into our sessions, such as:

•customized meditation practices either in session or to bring home

•yoga postures & education based on what your needs are, specific to your psych-soma

A few types of Breathwork meditations could be introduced to our sessions such as:

Breathwave

Conscious, Connected Breathwork is a gentle yet powerful laying down meditation that brings full respiratory breathing and repatterning, possible emotional release and gaining of clarity from within.

This style of breathwork supports to dive deeper into the style of breathing pattern that play out in the body when sensation arises, and an access point to move more layers of emotion/tension & trauma from the body in a way that gets out of the mental stories and right to the heart of the matter.

This is a safe and effective method to get right into the truth of what’s going on in the subconscious. The way we breathe can be the greatest teacher and healer for us

Pranayama

There are a number of more controlled breathing techniques that could be introduced to our sessions to support nervous system regulation, focusing the mind as well as emotional regulation.

Nadi Shodana (Alternate Nostril Breathing) -
Supports mental cognition, balancing the hemispheres - this supports calming and focusing the mind and then the body follows.

Ouji Breath -
A controlled breathing technique that brings awareness to the breath with a gentle sound at the back of the throat.

Kabbalabatti (Fire Breathing) -

Stimulates dorsal vagal state, activates prana (life force) and cultivates power in the solar plexus through quickened diaphragmatic breathing

Box Breathing - (4-4-4-4)

A simple tool to give the mind a task (counting).
Inhale - Hold at the top - Exhale - Hold empty

Bundhas -

Yogic Locks - A more advanced breathwork technique that supports the sushumna nadi to open and receive the universal life energy (Kundalini Shakti) to rise.
